What is the difference between wars and battles

Winston Churchill. The battle is an execution procedure to fight or attack the enemy country if the disagreement falls to the warfare category. It is the armed forces aggression towards the enemy nation while they defend themselves and attack the enemy simultaneously. Battle happens for a relatively shorter duration with minimal resources compared to the War.

It has a specific duration and commitment. The military units shall fight against each other at a particular location. The military personnel involved in such battles are relatively smaller in size. Battle has several strategies to be made in terms of resources, manpower, equipment.

Many battles are fought to win a war. A loss in the battle does not guarantee any loss in the War. At the same time, the number of casualties lost in a battle shall be relatively less compared to the entire war scenario. As it is pretty evident what the mode of battle will be.

But the mode of battle is a part of the strategy too. The combination of the types of battle shall ensure the victory too. War is an ongoing problem between two countries that have not reached any agreement may lead to battles. A combination of battles is the War. War is relatively larger in territory and resources. War shall happen in multiple locations. As the military units shall deploy the soldiers with required resources at various locations to defend and attack if a battle arises.

More importantly, the strategies used in War is way too different from battles. These World wars comprised of lots of battles that were fought between rival countries at different fronts. Battles are important, but they do not constitute the whole picture by themselves. It is when all the battles are taken into perspective that one understands their importance in a war. When two countries are at war with each other, they get engaged in many pitched battles over a long period.

Some battles are won by one country while some others are won by the other country. However, war is won by the country that wins decisively defeating the other country. If the war is a big picture, battles are like jigsaw puzzles that complete the big picture. Have you seen a boxing match between two players?

These two wars are the biggest conflicts that resulted in almost all of the countries choosing sides and entering battles and warfare. Wars and battles result in destruction of property, loss of lives and large amounts of money for technology and other resources. Wars are determined by the battles, which may end up winning or losing the War. Losing many battles may result in the side losing the War.

However, in many times countries have lost the battle but yet managed to win the War. This is often due to last time strategic planning or back up resources.

The end of the war is determined by which side loses or surrenders. Each match has three or more rounds. Now, if the match is war, the rounds are the battles. A person may end up losing the rounds, but if in the end manages to knock out the opponent, he wins the match.

Similarly, one opponent may lose all the battles but can still end up winning the war. In a nut shell, battle is more of a physical combat, while war is more strategic.
